GlobalShip™ Architecture

GlobalShip uses powerful technology components to produce the key functionalities of its web-based interface, n-tier architecture, high-performance scaling, and ease of use.

GlobalShip can be configured in several different ways, depending on your environment and shipping needs:

  • Imbedded Seamless Application - Commonly termed as a "black box" application, this can be used to automate fulfillment responses or when an ERP system or WMS is driving a fulfillment process and you wish to maintain the look and feel of the host application. This can also be used to respond to customer-facing Web transactions, such as real-time rate shopping.
  • Pack and Scan - This capability is used in the fulfillment process when the GlobalShip interface and workstation components (such as scanners and scales) are needed to execute the shipment. This method provides process control and visibility through tight integration with the enterprise supply chain systems.
  • Internet Desktop Shipping - The functionality allows users outside of the fulfillment process, such as remote offices and drop ship vendors to execute shipments from the centralized GlobalShip application.
