Logicor Completes Oracle WMS Integration at Specialized Bicycle Components

Mesa, AZ - September 21, 2006 - Logicorannounces the completed implementation of the enterprise shipping system, GlobalShip™, in partnership with customer Specialize Bicycle Components (SBC). This marks a milestone for Logicor by completing a production system tightly coupled with Oracle Apps 11.5.10 and the Oracle Warehouse Management system (WMS).

Logicor's GlobalShip shipping solution replaced the SBC legacy systems formerly being used to generate parcel and LTL freight shipments from their three warehouse locations nationwide. The enterprise-class architecture of GlobalShip allowed the three systems to be replaced with one Windows based server in their data center. Now, all of SBC's shipment transactions and business rules reside on a single, easily managed, centrally located server.

Since GlobalShip is tightly coupled with the Oracle WMS, the shipping process starts on the floor with handheld Radio Frequency picking. During the case pick operation, the operator is directed to the location to pick the product, the case LPN is then scanned for pick verification. Simultaneously, the case label is printed and the line item is place on the outbound bill of lading for ship release. In tandem with the case pick operation, the over pack process is completed with a "pack and scan" technique. This technique involves packing loose piece picks into the shipping containers, scanning for the ship detail information, and then generating a container shipping label.
